Off to layer 4. Put layers 2 and 3 in the background. Now use the box tool to create a spoke. I gave mine 10 segments so I could deform it a bit. Make sure that the top of the spoke goes into and past the rim and is buried in the hub.

Give it the surface name Spoke.

Now is when you get to play with all the tools under the modify tab. Here all I did was use Taper 1 in the top view to narrow the tip. Bend to, well.....bend it.

I pushed tab to put it into subD and tweaked a couple points and came up with this. Not too exciting but hey... this is just a quick tut.

Under the multiply tab is the array tool. It defaults to rectangular, change it to radial, through the X axis again and select a number of spokes..
